MEDICAL MANAGER
Elena Mitova, MD, MBA is the Medical Manager of RareDis Solutions, part of the Institute for Rare Diseases. She has master’s degrees in medicine (MD), business administration (MBA), medical PG specialties in paediatrics and paediatric nephrology.
She has passed successfully multiple courses on Strategic leadership, Organizational development, Public affairs and Market access, Negotiating skills and Innovative approaches in Medical education strategy.
Elena has 20+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, performing roles with increasing responsibility in regulatory affairs, sales, marketing, public affairs and general management. Elena has been the GM for Novartis in Bulgaria, Commercial director for Northern Europe, Regional director for Romania, Ukraine and CIS countries, Head of Medical Education strategy for Europe.
During above mentioned multiple assignments, Elena implemented innovative products launches, products lifecycle market strategies, high performing organizational transformations and diverse public / patient affairs and corporate social responsibility projects.
Prior to her career in Pharma, Elena worked for 13 years in academia – growing from assistant professor to senior and chief assistant professor in the University Children’s Hospital in Sofia.
